Travel the scenic Richardson Highway with stops at the iconic Trans-Alaska Pipeline and a breathtaking Mt. Hayes viewpoint. Watch for moose, caribou, bald eagles, and lynx along the way before hiking through Alaska’s wilderness to Castner Glacier and exploring the ice cave. Winter Castner Glacier Hike: During the winter hike, we walk on top of a frozen creek leading towards the glacier. The hike is approximately 3 miles round trip and usually takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on the group’s pace and weather conditions. Please prepare for extremely cold weather and dress accordingly with warm, insulated layers, winter boots, face covering ,gloves and a hat.

Dogsled Adventure in Fairbanks with Homestead tour
2 hours. Experience the thrill of riding in one of Alaska's oldest modes of transportation! The dogsled! Towns, villages and lifestyles were created using the traditional style dogs that you will meet while on your tour. Learn of the rich history of Chatanika from one of our guides while travelling through a beautiful boreal forest.
We only have 2 tour slots a day to give each group ample time. This is a small family run business and you will be greeted and guided by an owner the entire time here. Our weight limit per guest is 225lbs clothed.
